Wrap up in a kitchen towel and leave on the counter for up to 4 days. Freeze and toast if storing for longer than 4 days.
I love all of the bread she makes but the whole wheat sourdough is really special and something you will not find easily! I also love how few ingredients go into making this. :)
This bread is hearty and delicious and goes with just about anything. I love to slather it with nut butter or make avocado toast with it. And it's nice to get some extra fiber from the whole wheat.
I ordered a whole wheat sourdough loaf which had delicious flavor but of course was more dense than a white sourdough. As the fates would have it, I also wound up with a regular white sourdough which was exceptional. The smell alone on the walk home makes it worth it!
Truly the best sourdough bread and the owner is so wonderful. She even gave us a free loaf this week! Unfortunately we are away this week so we will miss getting a fresh loaf- it’s literally that good!
Love it! It felt so good I ate it for lunch and dinner, lol....
